Guiding RocketGro through a new brand launch online and building their direct-to-consumer marketing

Our client, RocketGro launched in 2020 to provide gardeners and growers with high-quality and organic soil improvers. Produced using the by-product of renewable energy production at their farm in Somerset, the range of soil improving, soil conditioning and natural fertiliser products are for indoor and outdoor plants and gardens. They are high in organic matter, 100% peat-free and full of rich NPK. This is truly a wonder product that can be delivered directly to customers' doors or found in garden centres across the UK.

The challenge

We started working with RocketGro just as they were launching into the market - they were still waiting on the final bits of packaging to arrive and the website to go live - they tasked us with launching the brand on social media, across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

RocketGro also needed professional photography to launch their new product range in a way that reflected the quality of their brand.


Using beautiful photography taken from one of our photographers (see more here), we ensured each of the profiles were set up correctly and showed potential customers what the brand stands for.

We then launched a social media strategy and plan to put growers at the heart of the conversation - with this is mind we set out to launch the inaugural #RocketGrowersChallenge whereby we challenged a select number of growers to plant something in a RocketGro soil mix beside the same plant in a "normal" soil mix to record the results via social media…

Working to the brand, we managed the shoot from start to finish; including developing a mood board, a shot and prop list, managing logistics and timings.


A brand new suite of beautiful photography to match RocketGro's branding and help us promote the products online during the launch phase. The images have been used on their:

  • Email marketing campaigns

Successfully launched the brand on social media and engaged with the people who matter most to RocketGro - gardeners and growers of all shapes and sizes, and built a close knit group of brand ambassadors who can advocate for the brand.

Within the first two months we have grown the Instagram account to almost 900 followers, surpassing two of their closest competitors in the market already. For the first two months we saw 877% follower growth and 277% increase in engagements.
